Fitness International, LLC to Acquire 171 Bally Total Fitness Clubs |

IRVINE, Ca/CHICAGO, Il – Fitness International, LLC, an affiliate of L.A. Fitness International, LLC, today announced that it has agreed to acquire assets relating to 171 Bally Total Fitness clubs. The transaction is subject to various closing conditions. While the parties expect the transaction to be completed on November 30, 2011, there can be no assurance as to when, or whether, the transaction will be completed.

(Irvine, CA) LA Fitness® is pleased to announce that the renovation of their Hunter’s Creek, FL sports club, located at 12700 Orange Blossom Trail, is now complete. New and returning members will find 11,000 additional square feet of club space and experience a variety of upgraded amenities throughout the facility, including an expanded array of all new cardio equipment (featuring over 80 pieces with individual viewing screens) and the addition of a multi-tiered cycling studio filled with new state-of-the-art bikes. In addition, the floors in the racquetball courts and aerobics room have been refinished, and the basketball court has been relocated to the expansion area to make room for the cycling studio and additional exercise equipment. Updated graphics, and fresh carpet and paint were also part of the work, as were the addition of ceiling fans. A remodel celebration party will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2011.

In addition, the pool area has been renovated and the floors in the basketball and racquetball courts have been refinished. Updated graphics, and fresh carpet and paint were also part of the work, as were the addition of ceiling fans, new lighting and a dedicated Personal Training zone. Finally, the reception and sales areas have been refreshed and the Kid’s Klub area received new carpet, paint, graphics and equipment.
